About

Medio Kwir is a queer collective with the mission to preserve queer culture and spaces where freaks can be freaks. We currently have three initiatives, a fund for queer creatives, a space for sharing memoirs, and events showcasing some of the wildest performances and most intense experiences our community has to offer.

Our first recipient of the Queer Creatives Fund, was the magazine — Construct Zine.

The fund will be administered on a quarterly basis and will consist of either a donation, sponsorship or investment. Applications are now open at mediokwir.com/apply and the next winner shall be determined on the third week of September 2026.

Memoirs will be housed on the “Stories” page starting in September — with our events and functions also restarting said month.

The memoirs will be life stories shared by willing volunteers. With all identifying information changed (such as physical characteristics, names, physical locations, etc.) so as to remain anonymous, the prose will be written in different styles by our team. We hope to provide longer form content via a compendium of stories with enriching perspectives and experiences from our community and all walks of life.

Our upcoming events in September will be a series of skimpy latex-clad functions — serving as a refuge for our wonderful outcasts and music connoisseurs.

CHXRCH shall be held on our Godesxss day — Sunday, at a yet to be disclosed location — to get our location info register at our website ltx-rave.info. The second event will be a monthly fundraiser for those affected by abuse from ice, with location and day information upcoming — if you have any questions please dm us on IG at @mlt.nyc.
